CCJ Removal.

Hi All

I have a CCJ on my equifax credit report and my score is 359 :( POOR

This is from an old company and as i took my holiday entitlement i owed them £250 i agreed to pay them 10 a month and settled in 2010.

I thought a CCJ was for people who defaulted on finance agreements etc.

I never knew this was a CCJ, and assumed it was a local agreement with the company.

Is there anything i can do about this ?

Any Advise would be good

Thanks

Anyone who is owed money can use the courts to try to obtain a county court judgement against the debtor.

To obtain a CCJ your ex employer would have sent court papers to your last known address. If you didn't reply to these then the courts would have granted the CCJ by default. If you did complete the forms to admit you owed the debt then the court would have granted the CCJ.

The court would also have sent a copy of the judgement to you (at your last known address) after the CCJ was granted.

What is the date of the judgement on your credit file? it will fall off your file 6 years from the date of the judgement.

Does the judgement show as settled or outstanding?

    Thanks for the reply,

It's says outstanding but it was paid in 2010, I got a CCJ letter but not a copy of judgement letter. And I thought it was a local agreement with employer,

    Date on file is 2009

court has told me to file a n244 is it worth it ?

    Thanks again
