Any good deals on christmas lights?

I'm looking for coloured LEDs for my tree.

Have found this, 720 for £48

Any better deals around?

Oh my word that does seem expensive. That must be a huge tree you've got to need 720 lights. I will keep my eyes open when I'm out and about.

These work out fractionally cheaper but you'd need more sets & plugs.

    5 strings of 150 bulbs = £42.50 for 750 bulbs.
(These work out at 5.6p per bulb; compared to Tescos 6.6p per bulb. So really not much in it, and these'd be a lot more hassle).

    Ones in OP £60 now.

I went to Tesco in store, they had 'microlights', 400 for £23, or LEDs, £20 for 200 (hence £40 for 400)

So I thought just get the microlights, the cost difference too high to justify the power saving, chuck them away in a few years anyway and buy new, cheaper LEDS. The microliights claimed to be lower voltage/power than normal bulbs, only thing they didn't say was that they are also lower brightness! Pretty feeble next to LEDs.

Plus they charged me £28 instead of £23 and I didn't notice till I left the store.
