How long does it take to get a valuer around?

Someone is buying our house, and has asked his mortgage broker to arrange for a valuer from the mortgage lender to come and value our house.
How long does it usually take for someone to come over to value, does anyone know?
Thanks

Depends if their broker has asked the lender not to go to valuation until successful status checks of the applicants have been completed (so as to not waste a survey fee if they should fail 1st stage underwriting).
All things being equal I would expect to be contacted within an absolute max of 2 weeks of your acceptance of offer - but it can and is usually much earlier than this, esp if they already have a DIP, or no restriction is placed on the surveyor being instructed as soon as the app is keyed.
Hope this helps

Once we'd proved our income the valuer was out within 48 hours.0
