my brother emigrated to australia and left a loan of several thousand behind we keep getting letters assresses to him, my question is can they make us pay and if we give them the address in australia can we get him to pay or does he get away with it and leave us to pay

They cannot make anyone pay other than him.
By all means tell them his new address to get them off your backs - I'm sure that an Australian debt collection agency can get money off him just as a UK one could.0 -
good that takes the worry away thought we would get caught for it, still worry that it will come back to us0
