    Thanks for this information.
My umbrella company may be limited, but my agencies pay the umbrella company and they pay me as if I am a normal permanent employee. I do not submit invoices or pay myself dividends or any of that sort of thing. I pay more tax as a result, but it is less hassle for me.

I can see now it is better for me to buckle up and save for the next five years and then get a place for my kids.

    Halifax criteria ......

    IT contractors

For all IT contractors whether employed, self-employed or utilising an umbrella company, we will accept the gross value of the contract as evidence of income. All applicants must have been contracting for a minimum of 1 year or employed in a similar business.

Its the residency issues and poss absence of CRA data if you have no perm residence, that will be issues to hand - unless as I say your caravan is a static, and you pay council tax etc at a formally recognised address.

    Hope this hope

  • I rang the real estate agency to cancel the whole thing. The advisor said he would ring around anyway to see if anyone would be likely agree to the mortgage. If he succeeds I will have to re-evaluate my position on the possibility of miracles really occurring.

Small Building Societies often do not credit score but they still require concrete uniquivocal address history proof.

Some will treat you as self employed and require 2 or 3 years accounts.
