Tbh Im glad I have found this thread because I have been entering loads each day and have won a pringles speaker! feel real disheartened, keep seeing people have won for the second or third time on the stella one and I have entered every single one and nothing oh well keep trying

No wins at all for me but I haven't been able to enter as many as I had planned to as my laptop broke :eek: a few days ago but I have a shiny new one now (early Christmas present) so am hoping to get back into the swing of things soon!

i have tried to avoid advents cos they are so time consuming and have only entered about 5. roll on the 24th when they are finished!

Very good advice! It can be easy to look at the IWIWIW board & think everyone but you is winning - but it's not true.

The comps vary a lot - probably half announce the winners each day (although often a few days behind), while the rest wait until the end & then announce all of the winners... so you may be a winner without knowing, let's all keep our fingers crossed for that!

Over the 13 days so far I've entered about 500 (average about 40 per day although I keep an eye on twice that many... I generally only enter if I'm interested in the day's prize). I have had one win (a biggie - £250 Bella Italia gift card :j ) but nothing else so far... that I know about . I've just had a look back at last year and I reckon I entered between 1500 & 2000 over the month, and iirc I won a hamper (from the local shopping centre - probably fewer entries than many) and a DVD box set.

The other thing to consider, as with "normal" comps is how many entries they're likely to be getting. Some of the big names have 500 thanks on the thread here... and a lot of people don't thank, and a lot of people don't enter via MSE.

If you think back to the V05/Boots Barcelona fiasco, they emailed 9000 people saying that they'd won, so 9000 people entered that comp, so on average your chance to win any comp would be about 1 in 9000 :P

I've been thinking about giving up, with the advents I'm comping about 4 hours a day, and haven't won anything big since I started at the beginning of september.

My biggest win is on the advents, I've won a HUGO BOSS babygro and baby bottle, total value about £100. Not bad, I also won a photo wall clock on the advents, and I think I'm the only person that hasn't won a pringles speaker and I've entered that one every day!

Don't give up peeps, it will happen, just remember those odds. It's more likely than the lottery at least!
