Be careful with store delivery if you want these for Christmas. I ordered some in the last glitch, I think it was 24 Nivember or maybe even earlier. They were finally ready for collection 2 days ago! I think lots of stores only have one delivery a week now, so if you miss that you lose a week even without any other delays.

I ordered a 1.99 annual for store collection on the 7th,on the 13th it said it's on it's way & nothing yet,so indeed, you might struggle for Christmas.

I've heard nothing but bad stuff about WHSmith with delayed, or in most situations NO delivery. I'm still waiting for 3 sets of lights I ordered 3 weeks ago. Just sold something on eBay to a girl who said she was having to re-buy as they'd let her down too.
  • Yep took 2 weeks for annuals here too. Not great service. x
  • I thought I'd bypass delivery & nip into our local store - I wanted a couple of packs of printer paper & 3 annuals - online cost = 2 @ £5.99 and 3 @ 1.99. It seemed wasteful to get it all hauled up from wherever when the same stuff was in a local shop...

BUT - the paper was £9.99 a pack and the annuals were '2for the price of 1' which was £7.99!!
So I ordered online. I was tempted to print off a list of what I wanted and negotiate with them to just use the online prices as they had the stuff sitting there... but I may have been beaten to death by irate Christmas shoppers for holding up the whole shop!
