2 days after ordering it replies back :-

We are very, very sorry, due to unusually high demand for this item your ordered items have already sold out from our warehouse stock so for your convenience we have placed it in the "Back Order" queue to be dispatched on a first come first served basis. This gives you the choice to reserve new stock on a first ordered first dispatched basis or to cancel the item through your account login at any time before dispatch. Stocks are received every day and it is likely your item will be back in stock and dispatched soon, you will be emailed as soon as an item is dispatched.

'Bagpuss - The Complete Bagpuss' (quantity: 1)


At this stage dispatch time is normally 1 to 5 working day for items Back Ordered Monday to Friday before 3:00pm and 2 to 6 working days for items Back Ordered Monday to Thursday after 3:00pm and weekend orders after Friday 3:00pm.

You will receive an email at each stage for each item ordered to keep you as up to date as possible with it's progress and time to dispatch.

Back Orders are only held for 4 weeks, then automatically cancelled by us. Most items that have been back ordered are dispatched within these 4 weeks. You will notice that payment is held on deposit for "Back Orders" so that when new stock arrives we can dispatch items immediately. We do not need to store your credit card details so your payment is completely safe and can still be cancelled and refunded at any time. You will be reminded once a week that your item is still on Back Order awaiting new stock.

Just out of interest isnt it false advertising to accept orders for stock that you dont have?

Similar happened to me, ordered 2 DVDs both in stock, they took the money from my credit card and confirmed that items were ready for dispatch, one week later received an email “items are out of stock, now on back order” but the items are still listed as in stock on their web site.
They don't seem to want to answer any of their "Have we done something wrong?" forms.
Did you all receive your DVDs eventually?
If so how long did have to wait?

I don't know about that but as with all auto mated ordering systems the products will stay on the order site until udated by staff. If the site isn't manned 24 hours a day and there's a big rush on a product it could lead to it going out of stock during closed hours of business and therefore the staff can't send the emails till they come in the next day. This unfortunately used to happen at my last company, it's not cost effective to pay someone to sit there all night in the office just to check if something goes out of stock. Hope this helps.

lol, I've got all of these apart from Ivor, but including the Flumps, but my DD who is 5 just won't watch them! Thought it'd be great quality lazy time together but no go!

She is into Rupert and Andy Pandy though - albeit the new versions! (which are actually quite sweet, plus very easy to have on in the background and don't burst your eardrums like the Tweenies do with their screeching and wailing!) I always have to turn the volume down when they come on! aarrgghh!

Awww! I was so excited to see bagpuss dvd for £3.75 :T

I do hope these are back in stock at some point so I can get it, and, erm....maybe one or two others
