The free monthly sim's are actually offering better tarriff's than the contract ones, you get double the minutes and texts for life. Also you're not stuck with it for 12 months, you can just do it for a month if you want. Some people aren't interested in getting a new phone so for them it would be perfect.0 -

I think you're missing the point! The offer the OP was pointing out is a good one, there's no need for everyone to criticise it!!!!!
Normal contract with free phone - offers 500 texts and 500 mins per month
Monthly sim only with no phone - offers 1000 texts and 1000 mins per month
If you are using a lot of minutes and texts it's cheaper to do this than to buy a phone and sell it on ebay, you may get £200 for the phone but the savings with the extra free texts and calls over a year are much more than that!
You can also stop it any time which is what puts a lot of people off getting a contract phone.0 -
good point and not everyone can get a contract, for all kinds of reasons, these are good for teenagers too my daughter nad her mates are mostly 17 and under, they cant have a contract, and i certainly wouldnt pay for one for my daughter, jeeez she'd bankrupt me :eek:Nobody can make you feel inferior, without your permission
