I'm not doing the proper christmas shop, but need bits for me and OH as we're having a bit of a do for ourselves this weekend. So I need to get the curry (probably do that tonight), some cream, have a look at pigs in blankets, maybe a little bit of cheese.0

ellieo MIL must be worse ! My mother's was a terror. She used to run fingers over surfaces to check for dust and she gave my mother washing powder for Christmas too.
One year she complimented my father (who couldn't cook) on the food. He told her he hadn't done a thing and she came back with " But darling you paid for it". My mother and I used to hatch plots to kill her while Pa was collecting her. My mother would drown herself in G&T before the MIL even got through the front door and one year she fell over the vacuum cleaner after one too many

What is it with customers on the last shop before Christmas buying bleach? They are not spending Dec 25th cleaning toilets!

I always buy loads but normal width. I'd rather use a couple of pieces than have a great big wide roll left over in the New Year.
I line my baking trays with foil for the roast potatoes, parsnips (I do them with Frylight but it should work with some oil/fat) and the pigs in blankets. That way it makes the washing up easier. DH does that but I'm a very thoughtful person.:D0 -

My friend's SIL was even worse than this! One Christmas she found her hanging over the fridge to see how clean (or dirty!) it was down the back of it!!!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
