What's the kickstart weightloss challenge? Hope you had a good valentines day:)
Morning everyone:)
Successful trip into town with DD, managed to pick up a few bits for her party:T still, I expect there will be quite a lot still to get! Trying to make it as nice as possible, without spending a horrific amount:D
Got some studying done in the morning, essay almost finished now. Just one paragraph left to write, then chop and polish, I always write far more than I need:eek: spend some time going over fractions too. It's just a case of practicing everything, just a bit everyday, before the exam, I'm sure I will get there!
Plans for today....the morning at home with nose in books, then off to sainsburys this afternoon for the food shop,
Have a good day everyone xxNovember NSD's - 70 -

Morning all:)
Had a little lie in this morning which was nice:)
Hoping for a chilled weekend. Didn't go food shopping yesterday as decided to stretch the food one more day:D will have to go this morning though as nearly out of tea bags:eek:
Essay is now fully written, just have to cut out about 300 words:rotfl: might have a little play with it later. Did some revision for maths yesterday too, will spend the remaining two weeks before exam just going over practice papers. Once I have this essay in I can make a start on the other course.
Also need to get on with arrangements for DD party, need to work on plans for this over this weekend.
DS1 here tonight:) always look forward to having him stay over:T Cooking BBQ ribs with wedges for dinner tonight. Yum.
Better crack on lots to do today,
Have a lovely weekend everyone xxNovember NSD's - 70 -
well done on essay its a great feeling when the bulk of its done and putting in all the practice for your maths all pays of in the end. i woke up really early again today just cant seem to stay asleep:D
hoping for a chilled weekend here, have a few things to do but all weekend to do them so no clock watching have all ready sorted loads of paperwork and washing and done the banking. will have a few hours to my self later so intend to make the most of them.
hope you have a lovely weekend with your familyYou can if you think you can .0 -
Morning:)
Couldsavemore - hope you enjoyed your bit of time for yourself:)
BBQ ribs went down a storm with the boys, they were very nice:D took little ones with me food shopping yesterday, went to Tesco first as I had some vouchers to spend and then on to sainsburys for the rest, they are only about 2 mins apart from each other so no waste on petrol.
Had written a meal plan from yesterday until the end of the month so as it is half term decided to do a food shop to last that long, spent a small fortune but actually less than I thought I had, was pleasantly surprised at the checkout and had a full trolley. Total from both shops was £106!!!! I may have to buy extra milk and fruit before the end of the month, but that should be it. I have a feeling the food will last a lot longer than that though.
Today I am planning on making a big vat of carrot and coriander soup as have carrots that are looking a bit past their best and need using up. Some twinks are also on the list to make and maybe a banana bread. I bought a joint of gammon, so will get that in a bowl to soak overnight and cook that in the slow cooker tomorrow.
Going to enjoy the peace and have another cuppa as all four are still fast asleep:)
Have a great Sunday xxNovember NSD's - 70 -
Morning all:)
Yesterday was a lovely chilled day, got the gammon soaking in the fridge and will pop in the slow cooker this morning. Managed to get a lot of washing dry on the line over the weekend, so nice to have some dry weather:)
Only one plan for today....finish this essay. I will be working on it until its done as I want the rest of the week free to do other things. I have about 50 words to lose and most of the referencing is done, but there are a couple of paragraphs that just aren't flowing properly, so I want to work on those first. I will get stuck in after breakfast is all done and dusted.
Tomorrow I have an eye test in the morning and a gas check in the afternoon, and Thursday we are out most of the day, orthodontist with ds3 in the morning and popping to see my nan in the afternoon.
Banking done this morning and spreadsheet updated, all looking ok.
Have a lovely Monday xxNovember NSD's - 70 -
Morning all:)
Assignment finally submitted yesterday lunchtime:j Made myself take the afternoon off:eek::D Not going to get much done today, as lots to do, but I am not going to worry about it. Will make a fresh start tomorrow on my other course:)
Banking all checked and all ok. Have adjusted the spreadsheet for this month and should be able to make another payment towards BNPL items before february is finished:T
Need to crack on with DD party plan this week, have got a few bits sorted but need to get a bit more organised:D
Going to have a browse and another cuppa,
Have a great Tuesday xxNovember NSD's - 70 -
Morning:)
Had a very productive day yesterday and finally made stuff for tins, ham has all been sliced and is now in the freezer for sandwiches etc. Grated a large block of cheese and those bags are now in the freezer too.
Banking checked and spreadsheet altered, housekeeping sent to housekeeping account and shall withdraw when needed.
Plans for today are to crack on with some studying this morning and if it stays nice later take the kids to the park:)
Had a letter in the post from DS2 school yesterday, telling me he had won a maths achievement award:D:j:D:T A year ago he was at risk of permanent exclusion, failing in all his subjects and I battled to get him in to the local Pupil Referral Unit for a three month temporary placement, which no one at the school bar his head of year thought would work:eek: Since he went back to his school, he has had no exclusions and he is pulling A's and B's in most of his subjects:D :T In fact a month or so ago, the head stopped me as I was walking by the school and told me my son had made an amazing turnaround and was doing brilliantly. Mum's do always know what is best for their kids:D Next week I have his parents evening and I am actually looking forward to it for a change:rotfl:
DS1 was a very similar story, expelled in year 9 and from the PRU to the local college and the it seemed that the whole education system had given up on him. He took GCSE maths a year early and got a C, then at 16 and got a B but this was his only good result, he didn't get the grade he needed in English and scraped an E. College excluded him for one year and in July last year he had nothing to look forward to or hope for the future. I decided to appeal and challenge the decision and after long talks with my son and the deputy principle of college, he was allowed into college in September to resit his English. I used all my savings to pay for him to do iGCSE Physics, chemistry and biology and another attempt at the maths to get that A grade. He does these at home by distance learning. On the 5th March he has his A-level interview:D BTW in his last English exam he got an A:T That's a hell of a jump from an E:D He works really hard and has now decided he wants to go to uni after his A-levels and do a maths degree and then become a maths teacher:T
Sorry to waffle, but I am very proud of my boys and what they have achieved in the last six months. I never gave up on them or fighting for them to get a good education despite all the behavioural issues.....plus i like not getting daily phone calls from the school:D
Anyway hope I didn't bore you all too much,
Have a great day xxNovember NSD's - 70 -
Morning:)
Off to orthodontist with DS3 this morning. Have to be there early so will be giving kids a rude awakening shortly:D
The weather has been lovely so far this half term and I have been able to get washing out on the line everyday!
Got some studying done yesterday, feeling confident I can keep within schedule for the coming week. I would like to get a bit ahead this week so I can concentrate on exam revision next week as exam is now looming and is only just over a week away.
Banking checked and nothing in or out today. Should be able to make a payment within the next week to BNPL items:)
Still within budget for food, havent spent anything since my huge shop last week and milk is stretching well, plus I have 2 x 4pts in the freezer.
Lovely dinner last night, pasta, pesto and bacon, yum:)
Tonight might be a leftover meal, but will be checking later after I get back from dentists, dont want to cook anything that takes too much time as we are going to see my nan this afternoon and kids will be hungry when we get back, so need something quick.
Better go wake them up now:)
Have a great day xNovember NSD's - 70
