Does anyone else suffer weight gain during their periods?
Unfortunatly, I do & I've never understood why. I don't eat any differently & since August I've been on a diet & exercising at the gym.
If your in the same boat, then please reply.

Me too
I can put on up to 6lbs in the week leading up to my due date, it does go as quickly as it arrived though usually on about day 3 or 4, I think its water retention rather than weight although no water retention products help with the exception of large amounts of cucumber but even thats not great. I'm very careful about what I eat most of the time so no real change around totm either for me but I can go up a dress size too and see the gain in my face, not a good look.

I always put on approx 5 pounds before my period, but they disappear as quickly as they came. It is all water retention. My boobs get bigger to the extent that people notice! I have tried various things to help water retention (except pills) and nothing works. It doesn't really bother me as it is only for a few days.0

I used to take dandelion root in water & it seemed to help. However, I take meds which don't agree with herbal stuff.
The weight gain does upset me as I feel as if my diet & exercise routine isn't working. I am going to try not to weigh myself until a couple of days after I finish & see if I notice the difference.0 -

You shouldn't really be weighing yourself any more regularly than weekly/fortnightly anyway.Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
I generally weigh myself every morning just to keep an eye on things. I will try & weigh myself once a week instead.0

I think you should weigh youself every morning, it gives you a good indication of how different foods react with your body, thing is you know weight gain on the scales around totm isnt proper weight gain so just simply dont worry about it.All power is from within and therefore under our control0 -
My mother is diet obsessed and even put me on a diet without telling me when I was younger  Consequently I don't ever diet and never weigh myself. However I low carb for my diabetes and went from size 22 diabetes made me balloon to, down to size 14 nearly 12 now.
I get bloated as well but not as much as when I ate carbs - they seem to add water weight too. Although when it's that ToM I think most of us want ice cream and chocolate ! But cutting back carbs might help some.
Personally I feel it's just one of the monthly aggravations of being a woman grr and it's a PITA but nothing to really worry about but my other suggestion would be cleavage showing bra and Spanks.0
