Wrong address...

Reported from house buying as no responses there...
Just had a call from my solicitor, the builders gave me the wrong address on all my reservation forms, my door is No 10, not 12.
So now my mortgage offer, valuation & all paper work got wrong address on it.
Solicitor didn't seem too concerned as the plot is correct, but how long do you think this will delay the exchange.
Solicitor wants to exchange this coming Thursday. But talked to my MA and he said the lender will need to reissue offer... Will this be straight forward?
She said it could take 2-3 days to reissue.
I don't want to sign / exchange till I have offer on the right address!
Or am I making this more of an issue than it is?
Thanks

It's definitely important to get the address right, as they lender will be securing the mortgage on the property. If the mortgage offer was wrong, there'd be a risk that the mortgage would be secured on the wrong property.
Assuming the purchase price and all other details are the same, they should be able to issue an amended offer fairly easily.
The only slight issue I can think of is that the valuer may have valued 12 instead of 10.
But if the properties are the same he should be able to just confirm to lender that the valuation is the same. It sounds as if the properties are still being built, so it shouldn't be a problem.
I think about 3 days is reasonable for the amended offerEarly retired - 18th December 2014

Thanks goldiegirl. Yes the houses are the same, and the valuation was done on the right plot, just the wrong house number issued on all the paperwork!
Nothing seems to be running smoothly, my solicitor works at the slowest rate, we reserved 5wks ago, and the solicitor only just sent off letters to family to confirm deposits! Frustrating!
Although this issue with addresses was the sales lady from builders fault!
Thanks again0 -
