I went shopping yesterday with DH. I'd planned on going reasonably early, treating ourselves to a bit of lunch and then being very indulgent by having an afternoon tea at a rather nice seafront hotel. I made a note of hotels tele number ready to book half an hour or so before our arrival.

But, we got what we went for and left pretty sharply!

Why oh why did I allow him to come with me, it's just no fun shopping with hubby in tow

I have a Victor Meldrew too.

    Ditto :silenced:

After all these yrs I dont know why I still bother but I do, just ever hopeful I guess :(

I asked OH to move out in Feb 4 years ago. He had no choice but to sober up and I even helped him find a flat and then a cottage. He has been sober nearly 5 years and is quite happy. I see him every day or so and he usually drives me on mad glitching trips. However he too is beginning to take advantage of me financially and byt expecting me to still do things for him. He is living on his Postmans pension and a small anount of benifit and does not pay anything towards the mortgage. I am struggling to pay it but if I ask him he just says sell the house. I am l0oath to do that and even if I did he is not entitled to half as his pension is much bigger than mine.
Re my Mum it appears my younger sister and I are to blame for last night as we persuaded sis to make the fuss she did. I was there and immediuately told her to leave it as I could see the damage it was doing. Anyway finished my pressie shopping and am just tidying the spare room as DD has to move into there so her brother and fiance can have her double bed.
I am shocked at how many new sets of towels I found in there from the Tesco Direct glitches earlier in the year. I beleive you are near me ( Bristol) and would love to meet up soon.

Does this work with any muller corners.. and do you have to buy 10?

Do you know what the offer is on Mullers at M?

It's 8 for £2 but I couldn't find confirmed details for exactly what's included so I simply copied RootedNomad's shop!

You do need to buy 10 for £4 because the other possibility (6 for £3) wouldn't be enough to qualify for the M's multibuy.

Just about up to date with the main Christmas present wrapping now apart from 2 bulky/ heavy things one of which is in the back of my car with the choc stash :D
Also finished sorting out the Christmas stockings but they all have a little more room in them if something mega glitches or something goes to 75% off in the next 2 days - fingers crossed and all :rotfl:
While I was wrapping I had our little black cat Treacle watching me quite intently and it made me wonder if he came from a house that didn't do Christmas because he found the wrapping process fascinating.
He just turned up summer of 2011 and moved in with us so he has been with us for 2 christmas now but we have no idea what his life was like before he came to us.

OK truth and honesty time. My gang are all at the young adult stage
but I still do Christmas stockings for them. Each stocking has roughly the same number of items in them, all different each year and for each person so they are always full of surprise items. none of them ever have a clue what is in them. I also wrap each time in masses of paper and Sellotape so they have to fight to get into them. yes I know I make life difficult for myself but I still enjoy doing the stockings, collect stuff to go in them all year round. I stress myself out about doing the stockings for weeks every year but the stockings are probably the best bit :T

Eldest son is spending his 2 nd Christmas abroad on duty working so won't be back until the 28 th but his stocking is ready for him when he does get here.

last year he had only gone out at the start of December so he was in deep culture shock. He worked Christmas morning but then his work mate took him home to his family so he had the full English Christmas with a family as this chap has 2 youngsters and they were boucing off the walls with excitement at Christmas and a visitor etc!

    I wouldn't dream of it:eek:

They are looking for all forms of money saving savvy I think.
