Just wanted to post to say thank you to you lovely bunch of people. What a difference this Christmas is.
Last Christmas we were so skint, I had to count every penny and made a lot of the pressies for other people. such as teachers etc.
This year, DD teachers, teachers assistants, after school ladies have all got goodies thanks to the BS glitch, the security guard at work has wine from the T's glitch, the receptionists have chocolates from A's glitch, and the lollipop man has one of those big lollipops full of lollipops! (not a glitch but DD thought it was so funny and I could not persuade her other wise)
Family members all have presents thanks to the ebay £10 giveaway, the sweatshop promotion, and stocking fillers from various competitions and offers, I have so enjoyed wrapping them all up knowing that I can give something proper this year.
I was able to give a hamper of stuff to the school raffle, and several bags of food to the food bank.
we also have friends coming around for drinks tomorrow evening to finish off the lager from the street party offer in the summer and the food is all paid for by A's apg's.
We have also been to the cinema twice this year with Sweet Sundays, and a great trip to the Jingle Bell ball at the O2 thanks to an angel from Scotland.
    What a year!

I have spent far less than than I did last year and we have so so so much more and for that I have to thank you all.
In Jan 2012 I made a resolution to never pay full price for anything if I can help it and although I have still a long way to go this is the longest that I have ever stuck to a resolution and I have only managed to do that thanks to you all.
So from me and all my family, thank you all so very much and I hope that you have a lovely Christmas each and everyone of you.

    Here's to a glitchin' full 2013!

    What an absolutely lovely post.:T:T:T

I hope that you are your family have a lovely Christmas, it sounds like you thoroughly deserve it.

    Oh Dr V

    Your song was lovely.:)

    I've come over all emotional:):rudolf::rudolf:

Hope you have a lovely couple of weeks off work with your family:)

I took my OH to a Bowling for Soup concert in Holmfirth. We were VIP but I messed up the time and we didn't get to meet the bands. When the first act, Patent Pending had finished they were selling merchandise at the back. I got her a signed CD, a kiss and a photo with them. I have followed them ever since. They are so EPIC, and much better live.

They have a cover album out now, and their sentiments are so beautiful to go with their amazing riffs.

I know we were going to originally put it on itunes but we can raise more money this way with the extra 25% gift-aid and it's easier to give so it's a no brainer.

My darling niece succumbed to leukaemia this year and so I thought it would be nice to do something for the brilliant people at Make-a-Wish foundation in her memory.

Please remember that it is you raising the money.

I had a brilliant time in the recording studio. Although it took half an hour to remaster the backing track. First we had to drop it one semitone and then by another half semitone (ooh look at Mad getting all technical :rotfl:) Also I had to sing the third verse as if it was the first verse so due to time constraints the final take had to be done in one and it shows :D

Anyhoo hope you have a laugh. Just to wish a Happy and peaceful Christmas to you and yours.:xmassmile
