    Morning everyone!

There is a change for me on MSM today re the Vinnie barrels...

Yesterday they showed for A only when signed out and part of 3 for £10.

Today they only show again when I'm signed out BUT they are £6 and NOT part of 3 for £10 -by previous experience this shoud mean they will glitch?

Can anyone else let us know what they can see please, I don't want to be a misinformer!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I meant to add, the fingers only show when logged out but they do show as part of 3 for £10 same as yesterday.

Exactly the same for me Smart1e.

  • Cold Winter Ahead

Its late fall and the Indians on a remote reservation in Mattawa asked their new chief if the coming winter was going to be cold or mild.

Since he was a chief in a modern society, he had never been taught the old secrets. When he looked at the sky, he couldn't tell what the winter was going to be like.

Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, he told his tribe that the winter was indeed going to be cold and that the members of the village should collect firewood to be prepared. But, being a practical leader, after several days, he got an idea.

He went to the phone booth, called the Weather Network and asked, 'Is the coming winter going to be cold?' 'It looks like this winter is going to be quite cold,' the meteorologist at the weather service responded.

So the chief went back to his people and told them to collect even more firewood in order to be prepared. A week later, he called the Weather Network again. 'Does it still look like it is going to be a very cold winter?' 'Yes,' the man at Weather Service again replied, 'it's going to be a very cold winter.'

The chief again went back to his people and ordered them to collect every scrap of firewood they could find.

Two weeks later, the chief called the Weather Network again. 'Are you absolutely sure that the winter is going to be very cold?' 'Absolutely,' the man replied. 'It's looking more and more like it is going to be one of the coldest winters we've ever seen.' 'How can you be so sure?' the chief asked. The weatherman replied, 'Because the Indians are collecting a s..tload of firewood.

    Good morning all

B&Q were selling their real trees off half price earlier in the week. Argos have been selling the fake ones for half price :)

Not sure if there are now better deals out there.

Not sure if its still on but argos website said you could get an extra 10% off existing offers instore if you just mention the name of a particular festive fat man with white beard, red suit and black boots (no codes allowed on here ;))
Apparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen

Ok, I need a bit of help.

I've just got a letter about DH's personal pension, they are after a copy of his will or written confirmation there is no valid will. Who do I get this written confirmation from?
Also what is a 'lump sum death benefit'? He had only started paying into this so had under £100 paid in, I'm assuming this is what it's talking about.
I'm at a loss as I thought this was all dealt with, they also want the forms I filled in over a year ago done again and the Death Cert sent in again.
Could they not have just waited until the new year? It's hard enough at this time without getting this :(
    Sorry for all the questions

Sorry to hear you have received this at a bad time of year.

When you join a scheme which pays out a lump sum on death, you are asked to complete an "expression of wish" form. This form holds the details of the person/people you want your lump sum to go to.
If you then die, the pension company or insurer looks at the form and contacts the person/people on the form. The pension company or insurer must see a copy of the death certificate before any payment can be made.

I am guessing that this form was not completed in this case which is why they need to see a will. You can go to a solictor or a notary public and get a signed statement confirming that there is no will (if there isn't one). The fee will be around £50.

Under scheme rules, these payments must be made in a timely manner and so if they have looked at your late husbands case and realised that the lump sum payment is due, they will contact you immediately. (hence the rather untimely letter)

Unless the letter specifically asks for a response by a certain date there is no problem with you putting it to one side and dealing with it in the new year.
    HTH :)
