Snowballs have always been a staple at Christmas in our house along with Bucks Fizz:o in the morning. The snowballs are usually made with cheap Aldi advocaat (with lemonade/dash of lime) in a very large pitcher:eek:....served with the essential cherry on a cocktail stick of course. Us smogmonsters are such a classy lot don't you know:rotfl::rotfl:

Oooh yes I must get some of those cocktail cherries, I remember those can almost taste licking the babycham off them now. ;)

Bucks fizz a xmas morning staple in our house too. Used to buy the cheap ready made stuff but MSE has highered my standards, real champagne last year with OJ. Damn should have saved some Don Simon. :rotfl:

Yes, it's well past the witching hour and all those going to work in the morning should be off to bed.

Off to bed soon for me as well as I'm expecting some early deliveries in the morning. A pine door and paint roller sleeves from Wickes and 10 bags of Homefire Ovals from Coals2U.....well DW did say she wanted something to surprise her on Christmas morning:rotfl::rotfl:

So it's goodnight from me....and goodnight from him.

I actually have to confess to getting a McFlurry today :o

16th December and I'm having ice-cream in the middle of the day

Love ice cream when it's freezing outside!

Our church youth group used to do a New Years Day trip to Newcastle, NI. We always walked through part the Mournes or went to Silent Valley by the time we'd done that we were truly ready for the huge vat of cup-a-soup (always chicken and leek!) some of the guys had made.
Afterwards we'd walk into the town and desend on the nearest ice cream parlour to get sundaes. Most of the locals thought we were nuts but the staff welcomed us all as the group had been going there for many years and they made a load of money that day :D

I remember the first year I took DH with me, I was 17 and it was our first Xmas and New year together. Seems like only yesterday :(

Good evening, all. I hope everyone has had a good weekend. I've been ill all day (self inflicted). I managed to sit through a children's birthday party DD3 was attending - ouch!

They really should not do free bars! :o

I'm off to bed but thought I'd throw a couple of thoughts in on the mix.
