There's a silver lining! On the way back spotted that unleaded was 128.9p at Croydon's Sainsbob's.

Note to non-Londoner's- that's deffo a "dear diary" moment when we see a petrol price like that!:D

 might need to fill up on way to JL tomorrow :D

Wish I knew! I missed them all by going on the last afternoon at my branch. And the car park was getting choked with incoming traffic as I left.

They're not reducing TVs laptops or Apple products. But stuff's obviously flying off the shelves as there was almost nothing but cables left when I arrived. :D

And vouchers will be worthless after this so I'd go sooner rather than later anyway.:)

The stories are that it's 70% off some items. One wall had signs saying all items £1 (don't get too excited - it was cables and connectors etc.):D
    Evening all,
I caught two comet shops around about the time when they went to low prices but didn't manage to get anything large/expensive at a bargain price. The more organised "white van men" and "others" seemed to have got things sewn up by turning up in organised groups to strip things out:( However while everyone was grabbing the big stuff I went for things like printer cartridges and spare batteries for my DSLR. Got Lexmark 43XL and 44XL carts for about £6 -£7 each (normally £25 -£35 each) Also in both shops they had the 42 carts at a normal price of £2.44:eek:(must have been a mistake as these are at best about £15 - £20). So with discount they were about £1:) Got enough ink to last several years:)
    Awaiting a new sig

That's my problem too! me and my Oh are both only children so no siblings or neices and nephews, both sets of parents are no longer with us either. And we have never lived anywhere long enough to make many friends.....my gift list is very short:rotfl:
