Just back from mr tesco and trying to get 4p pants at ss when the sa takes them off me and says she cant sell them at this price and calls the manager who confirms it. so i tell him that if they dont sell me them im going to make a formal complaint so were do i go from hear do i have ground to stand on or are they in the rite ?!?

They have no obligation to sell whatsoever

    None. Nada. Zilch

However, had you managed to slip some cash in the ss machine and compete the transaction legal ownership passes to you and they can do nothing about it.

    Next time scan faster ;)

thought about this on the way home lol

so no point in complaining then :(
if they didn't want to sell them at 4p why did they scan at that price >?

No grounds for complaint in my opinion ....although it is debatable as most things are ;)

Google "invitation to treat not confirmed offer of sale". You should find similar cases to explain why I think it's not worth pursuing

But as you say the fact it scans at 4p could be seen as their offer of sale to you.

Unfortunately I have to go to bed or I would go into more detail on this

    Goodnight all

    Emmm morning?

Dog woke me up needing out so what else am I going to do?

Noticed a new coupon (PDF) for Jura whiskey, got me thinking, superstition is £25 in A, £21.80 in S, buy 2 in A use £5 off £40 and 2 x £3 PDF coupons, usual fillers and APG should be £11.76.

    So £50.00
    - £5.00
    - £6.00
    - £11.76
    = £27.24
    = £13.62 per bottle

    Have I got this right?
I do try to keep up but sometimes life gets in the way.
I'm just a penny short of a pound. Peace and Love.

I've joined the 5:2 club cos mrT made me eat 1p chocolate.
