It's the first time I've ever used them and now I'm seriously wondering about the guy who picked it up. He was in a car rather than a van and never even gave me any kind of receipt for handing my stuff over. He was actually delivering a parcel to me then went away and came back seconds later asking if I had parcels for collection.

I was a bit stressed at the time (had a burst pipe and couldn't reach the stopcock :o) so wasn't thinking about the receipt.

they use self employed driver so keep cost down my driver has a claped out car but as he say it works lol , as for recipt if you booked on line there will be a record in yr account :D

hope pipes sorted and no damage

When they deliver here its normally same guy and he in his car.He carries one of those hand held computer things and i always have to write my signature on it to say i received parcel. Fingers crossed your parcels ok

Hope your burst pipe also fixed.
  • I have been lurking for a couple of weeks and would just like to thank everybody on here for all the great posts, i have had 2 succesful choc shops and 1Sally, also been to body shop today and got 2 lovely lip balms for £1 each using my joy cards.

Quick question can anybody recomended a courier i have chocs and bics to send to my family down south.

We have a lovely hermes courier man & they do seem to be one of the cheapest but I would pay the extra £1 to have it signed for or it will be left outside if their not in

Plumber came out really quickly but I had to phone up OH to come home and get to the stopcock because I didn't know what time plumber was going to get to us. Luckily it turned out to be the pipe leading to outdoor water tap but immediately behind it on inside of house were two electrical sockets and I was terrified I'd end up with no electric but no damage done to indoors.
Many a mickle makes a muckle.
