Still catching up but if your laptop app is registered to your amazon account and you register your kindle to the same account you will have all your existing downloads available on your kindle (hope that makes sense ) I have mine and mums kindle, DDs ipod and iphone and my iphone all registered on my account and we share the books, though I seem to be the only one actually buys a book with real money xx

That makes sense to me sharon, that's great. I had an app on old laptop and when I got new one I got another book to download and it all appeared on new lappie So a Kindle will have all my books downloaded to it easily :T

Not sure. Was just looking, and the price shown when you order is a 'guide price'. So do they take the total off my card, or wait until I collect, because I could always try to argue the toss at the till if they do the latter.
