Fair rating - Which loan?

Hey guys
I have a fair credit rating (score 800ish). I am a homeowner and I earn between 30-40k a year.
I've had some issues in the past with my credit rating as when I was younger I didn't take out much credit and therefore didn't have much of a rating.
I'm hoping to get 15k for home improvement over 3 years.
Can anyone advise what would be a good loan to go for where by they offer good interest rates but are not ridiculously strict on the rating?
Thank you!!!

Your own bank for starters, sainsburys bank maybe (they did recently start offering loans at a decent rate)
Also your rating is meaningless to lenders sinc ethey all use a criteria to determine if you get a loan and at what rate.0 -
The score / fair rating isn't much of an indicator. Its better to look at the detail on your credit reports.
Do you have some existing credit lines now? and do they all show all repayments made on time on your credit files? Do you have any existing debts?
Your own bank is usually the best place to start, assuming you have run your account with them well.
You could also perhaps try nationwide online soft search option. The advantage of this is it does not show as a credit application search on your credit file, and will give you an indication as to whether you are likely to be accepted.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
