Just had an email from these and had a look. They actually want your online banking details!
Surely this is either a joke,or illegal.
Anyone had the pleasure?

  • Looks useless anyway, £1 per day over a month would be more than quite a few payday lenders.. It only works out a little bit better if your only borrowing for a day or two, as you are skipping the initial borrowing fee that a payday lender usually charges such as £5 or £10.

I'd rather pay the extra fee tbh and go with a reputable company than give me online banking details to a new website!

I wouldnt even give my banking details to anyone I havent heard of let alone payday lenders.
  • I am most concerned about the fact they are wanting peoples actual online details, username, password and FULL memorable information, how many people wouldn't realise how dangerous this is? I think quite a few. Tbh I'm surprised this is allowed by the banks, and most concerned this could become common practice amongsted "payday" lenders, causing more problems for those people.

its got nothing to do with the banks, if your stupid enough to give a scammer email your entire bank details, then the bank is not liable for the losses.

Another thread about disreputable lenders scam/marketing techniques and gulliable/naive people lured in. If it looks to good to be true then it probably is.

there has been threads on here, and other forums...

they are a legit company, and people have used them...

    never used them myself.....
Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?
  • the reason i said im surprised the banks allow it is because it says they can only view your account on a read only basis, and cannot actually make payments or change anything. if this is true how would they do this? im curious about this and where it may end up going in the loan world. there was probably a time when most would have been reluctant to give their card details and now its common practice.

Its actually good idea in theory if it avoids more expensive unauthorized charges.
However using your internet banking details is crazy.
  • I have used this company and they are completely legit, they offer protection from od fees and allow you to borrow if necessary. Fees are not great but if used sensibly can be a great help to tjose rejected bamk od's. It does use online bamking details to check suitability but they alsonoffer a service showing where you spend your money in charts etc. Very useful for budgeting and is free
