Regret Tesco Delivery Saver

Really wish i hadn't signed up to the 6 months delivery saver at Tesco now. I signed up as with 6 of us in the house it saves time and i find it easier to budget, however they keep catching me out on putting offer items in the basket which are then a lot more expensive on delivery day and also my regular items have got really expensive. Akso on website it states value chicken is British yet when it arrives its from Holland!
Just started going to Aldi to get half of it as its so much cheaper. I won't even be able to make use of the price i paid now unless they rollback prices again to what they were.
Disappointing!

I can't even afford to shop at Tesco and as for the Co-Op forget about it. I think they have forgotten their founding principles of what a co-operative really is. Their prices are as dear as Waitrose and I don't shop there either.
I go to Morrisons at about 5.15pm each day and wait for them to start marking everything down, I can then eat for the week for a tenner, or so. Sunday is best at about 3.15pm when all of the very large meat joints usually costing £10 to £15 can be had for £2 or £3. Fill up the freezerAs for other goodies I preserve and make soups and sauces during the summer months from what I grow.

GHS is always on the basis of delivery date prices. So when you pick your date & time, you need to keep a watch on the dates of any 'offers'.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
It tells you when you are checking out if any of the offer items in your basket expire before the delivery date!£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.

I didn't see this, but that is my mistake, its the prices on my regular shopping which has hiked a lot, do they think we don't notice??
Malted wheats have gone up 50p a box this month.0 -
Let them know! OH laughs at me because I'm often one to complain, but it does pay off. I think companies just assume many people will have a moan to themselves but not do anything about it. Sometimes it just takes a little bit of complaining directly to the company for them to do something about it.0

I do the bulk of my shopping at Tesco but didn't opt for the delivery deal for that very reason, once they've got you they can do what they like with their prices and you're going to feel like you've wasted money if you don't shop there but shopping there will cost you more!Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
I'm glad I didn't sign up to it too. My partner lost his job and although he got another job within 3 weeks we have completley changed how we shop as a result.
We used to do a weekly online Tesco shop (done it for years) but we decided to give Lidl a go with a small top up shop at Tesco for things we couldn't get at Lidl.
We used to spend at least £400 a month at Tesco (probably more) but this month we have spent £276 on food and £19 on toiletries from Home Bargains.
We have eaten really well and planned meals each week. I will have saved £1700 over the year if we keep this up!

I think Tesco is expensive so it always bugged me that other supermarkets peg their offers to Tesco. Ocado is now doing a cheaper than Tesco price promise on branded goods and so far my branded goods have been cheaper.0

My problem is that I am too lazy to shop around and Tesco is the closest to us. However Sainsbury's which is a couple of miles further has had a refurb and is now enormous and I do like Sainsbury's but the distance has always put me off. Plus I do like my Tesco deals and they seem to offer more than Nectar.
I do a mix of online and in store shopping but I have to confess that although I always check price per 100g etc I could not tell you how much anything costs. I tend to buy butter when it's on offer and I stock up and freeze. I know that when I plan meals properly and shop online I save money and my husband keeps telling me I should make a list of all the meals I prepare to make it easier to plan. I really need to get a grip on this because my grocery bill varies between £700 and £950 per month.
I know some of you probably think I am mad or we are all very fat but the truth is I probably could feed us for 6 weeks without shopping if I planned things a bit better (apart of course from milk, veg etc)
Right go on then, you can all tell me off now.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

I think thats the thing, if you buy items regularly you learn the prices and shopping online its easier to work out price per kg etc.
With Tesco prices as they are on what i buy at the moment its no more expensive at sainsburys and they are my local, i prefer their quality but went to Tesco as they were cheaper and i like the clubcard deals too.
I guess i should email them but i am one to moan but not to the correct person!
I won't be renewing the delivery saver again.0
