Tesco Clubacrd wrong vouchers- help please

Hi everyone! Please move this if it's better in another thread :)

My MIL has a ridiculous amount of clubcard vouchers and wanted to buy us something for our baby from them. She went to her local tesco to get a baby monitor we were looking for, they didnt have the model in stock so the woman in tesco gave her the 2x (i think) tokens for use online by 13/12/12. The problem is, she has been given the wrong vouchers! She was given personal electrical vouchers, queried this straight away but she was reasured in the store that this was correct.

She gave us the vouchers (she lives quite a bit away and came for a visit on Sunday) and when the item came back into stock yesterday I tried to order them and it says the vouchers arent valid on this item. I'm guessing it should be a baby item voucher that we need. The issue is we only have until 13th to spend the voucher and we wont see my MIL until after this.

Would tesco change these if I went in store and explained the situation? I'm not sure as they are obviously under her clubcard details but I dont want these going to waste due to an error.

Can anyone advise?

    Unlike In-Store Exchange vouchers - the Tesco/direct Exchange vouchers can be used for any category - providing the item is within one of the categories - or if so is not covered by any of the exclusions.
    To check this, on the product page on 'Direct' if it is 'qualified' there will be a 'Clubcard Exchange' label displayed - if not ......
    Don't forget too the value of the order must not be below the value of the vouchers - it won't work if you overspend.
    I think you'll find that for on-line (Direct) use the deadline has been extended - to the 19th.
    So if the 'ideal' item isn't possible check with her for a plan 'b'.
    And finally no the store aren't able to change them.
