Experian question, knock on effect with mortgage

I have recently got my credit report and my experian one is only 3 star due to them having the wrong address for me, hence, I wont be showing on the electoral roll etc.

I have never lived at the address they have for me, it not a fraud issue its just an address which always gets mixed up with ours and vice versa. Im looking to get a new mortgage and was just wondering how I get it changed so my rating will go up.

Many thanks

Mike.

  • You do not show on the electoral roll unless you send in the yearly letter to the register stating where you live. Nothing to do with experian. So are vote registered? If not - it matters not as your details will not be on there for any mortgage company to find. Does not make it compulsory to vote BTW.
And you should just be able to send a correction to the Cred ag asking for address to be updated as far as I know.
