Mortgage Sites..

Sorry if this as been posted before but i can't seem to find it. I am due to re mortgage very soon and was wondering if there is any good websites for comparing all the major lending companys for fixed rates etc? I have a mortgage advisor but was just curios to have a little shop around myself before i speak with her. I have found some but they all want to take my details and ring me back but i just want to shop around myself for a while just like you can when comparing loans. Any help much appreciated.

  • Thanks very much for that. I am currently on a rate of 5.35% fixed for 2 years. Is this a good rate in todays rates are are there better ones out there?

You might be able to JUST get below that but there could be fee's involved on the lender side of things

I don't think youo will have a problem matching it but there are a lot of fixed rates being withdrawn and replaced with higher products next week

halifax, alliance and leicester, portman building society, nationwide, skipton building society to name but a few

  • Yes im just looking on a site at the moment and its looking like i will have to pay around £399. Is there no way around this? Surely they will be wanting my money and i can barter? Also will i normally have to pay out of my current mortgage lender which is Portman by the way?

And on a side note it looks like Portman and Nationwide are merging and the customers will probably receive a little payout? Anyone else heard of this?

Sorry for all the questions i find all this money changing strangely exciting lol!
