I went to the Southend one today, nothing xmas at all, all cleared away.........big signs saying big sale, big prices and big signs.........no big sale.

All christmas decorations were 75% off in my local store today. The lights and artificial trees were still only 25% off unless they hadn't got round to changing the price tags as only half the decorations were marked at 75% off but the asisstant came up to me to tell me they were all reduced by 75% off marked price but hadnt got round to doing all the price tags.

I think that could be right. I went into my local store on friday, saturday, sunday and again today but the lights are still only 25% off. They don't have the ones I want anyways so will have to wait till next year and pay full price.

The asisstant told me on sunday that they don't reduce the christmas items further (they were currently 25% off lights and trees and 50% off decorations) as they send them to other stores and what is left goes to charity. I knew the decorations would be recuded by 75% off on xmas eve or boxing day but she said they wouldn't. Went back today and the decorations are all 75% off. They were just trying to get people to buy them at 50% off and getting them to sign up for a reward card to get an extra 15% off when you spend £50. I think they thought they might shift a lot of stock by doing that, I bought all mine at 50% off and tree at 25% off so have missed out on the extra saving.
