We were always told by the cash office staff that tesco dont loose out at all.
What they do is put all the coupons they get from the week into a green bag which then gets sent off and sorted to be sent back to the companys in which they return any monies tesco are owed from them.
How true that is I dont know but thats what the staff in the office tell me , the only reason they get fed up with coupons is because it takes them ages to sort out and also makes the tills OVER and SHORT as till staff dont enter them in correctly.

In which case over use will reduce the number of companies that use voucher schemes - they must be losing a lot of cash with no actual uplift in sales?
