He's been given strict instructions that he MUST NOT go in my wardrobe. Everyone else's stuff is piled in there too. I'm going to stay in all day and have a big wrapping session on Saturday, with Christmas music and mulled wine, and then other people's wrapped gifts will be kept out in bags ready to take over. His will go back in the wardrobe and we are going to put ours under the tree on our Pretend Christmas Eve.

I don't know where he's hiding mine! But I'm not going to go looking, I promise.
  • Depends what it is, often just leave it at work but to be honest most places are fairly safe at home as the misses is not observant at all - hell, I've left the present out for her to find in the morning after she's woken up and its not been for several hours before she spots the big box in brightly coloured wrapping paper sat on the kitchen table even though she's been in there several times already

Ive just went to put some clean washing away and found another little stocking filler haha, now its hiding behind the cushion on the sofa where I sit until I can get hold of some wrapping paper upstairs to wrap and put in stocking - or now its likely to go under tree as stocking is filled! opps!
Life is what you make it.
  • We agree a place for the presents to go, he has his hiding place and I have mine and we don't look there.

this year mine are in the suitcase and his are in a box under the bed.

Though I don't know why I bother wrapping them as every year he has guessed exactly what they are.

All presents are on top of our wardrobe and his are hidden in a gap bag right at the back. He won't even entertain looking up there!

I wrap them and put them on top of the wardrobe with all the other presents so he doesn't know whats his and whats anyone elses. He isn't really tempted to look.

One year I did get something delivered to my mums though - it was a great surprise as he had something at home and thought that was it.

I keep all mine hidden in an overnight bag under my side of the bed. He's an un-curious sort, so it works.

Although, a few years ago, I had been carefully hiding all of his gifts in an old chest we use for bedsheets etc. I told him one evening that he might want to not look into there between now & Christmas, and his face dropped. He said, 'that's really odd as I was about to say the same to you'. Turns out we had both managed to hide our presents for each other in the exact same place - he'd been slipping them under the top layer of sheets on one side, I'd been slipping them in between the middle layers on the other side. I think I managed to extract all of his after that, without spotting nay of mine, but I can't remember how! Since then we've avoided using any communal areas for stashing!

I can't wrap as I go either - I like to see everything together and wrap it all in one go and stick straight under the tree.
  • I just put them out of sight. If he wants to spoil the surprise that's up to him.

Big green storage box next to my sewing machine. There are a couple of lengths of fabric folded on the top, my DH is sure I have at least a half-ton of material ready for future sewing projects but actually I just have his Christmas gifts and a spot of camouflage.

My daughter's are in an Ikea bag on the top of the wardrobe and both of their stockings (already filled) are with the Christmas cards and wrapping supplies above the sewing machine/storage bins in my craft cupboard.

I've wrapped all our presents (for everyone). They're all in a big pile in a cupboard with DH's buried in the middle of it. Don't think he'd dare try and rummage through it. :D
