Student loan overpayment

Could do with some advise please.
Back in 2002 I left university early. Every year I get a statement from the Student Loans Company stating the amount I owe them.Im under the threshold to make any payment.A company called ccscollect has started sending threatening letters about an overpayment of student loan. Im confused ???
If I had been overpaid then surely the student loans company would be in touch or they would have added it to the amount I already owe.CCS are on about taking me to court, are they one of those companies that can be ignored or should I start worrying.

  • If I was you I wouldnt panic, and I wouldn't phone them. Secondly my first point of call would be the student loans company direct, I would be asking for information as to why it has been passed to a dca when you earn below the threshold, and secondly I would be seeking clarification on how you were over payed. I am sure someone else will chip in but for now try and keep calm.
