    4 ½-inch deli bagels contain 300 to 380 calories each, depending which you buy, unless you make your own, they also contain salt, as do pita breads, breadsticks etc. As an example a pita bread in front of me has 19% of the RDA of salt for an adult in it, 255 calories, that is without a filling. A portion of 3 premium fish fingers has 50% LESS salt, 170 calories (had to research that one a bit to find it as don't have any) So aswell as these figures they are also eating fish which is good for them, ok without sauce or a homemade sauce would be better, as would making own (I do as I use GF bread) This is for same weight 90g. I think there are many worse thing to feed a child than fish fingers.

    Anyway that's not what this thread was about.
