Hi, i'm hoping someone can give me some hints and tips for toning exercises (mainly legs and stomach) that aren't strenuous.
I have Fibromyalgia and suffer with joint and muscle pain and struggle with 'conventional' exercise. I cannot run, jog, use machines and can only walk (slowly!) on flat ground
Problem is that i am limited with my mobility, then gain weight which puts more strain on my joints leading to more mobility problems.
Sorry if i've not explained too well

no expert, but it sounds like you should be looking at mobility and bodyweight exercises0 -
Hatha yoga would be a good start
increasing joint flexibility will help with the pain.
Can you swim?

Swimming would be excellent for you , its easy on the joints and just 30 mins gentle swim would excercise most muscles then you could build up from there.
If you can't swim , water walking is also an excellent way to get those muscles used to working again.. I see quite a few people in my pool who walk or do standing excercises in the pool, the water helps take the weight off the joints while you move them..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j
