Makeup / bath stuff for a 10yo girl

I asked my cousin for ideas for her 10 year old daughter & was told that she likes bath stuff / makeup... I was thinking of getting her this nail polish set (Minnie Mouse) http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/media/images/products/dc03c2c4-f64e-4fb3-8e48-8173611690ad_Spec2_v1_m56577569834325701.jpg but unsure whether she's a bit too old for it? Any feedback would be much appreciated!

I think she might be too old for Minnie Mouse at 10. I can't tell you what 10 year old girls are into though but hopefully someone will be along soon that can!0

I personally would stick away from character nail stuff for a 10yr old - you are paying for the character (that they probably think is babyish or will pretty soon) and the actual polish will be awful. A couple of bottles of nail polish could last for ages, even years so go for something more suited for her over the next few years. A base/top coat, a bright colour (her favourite) and some polish remover pads from something like rimmell/no 17 in a pretty bag fro storage (primark)
If you are concerned about her growing up to soon go for bath stuff as it doesn't last as long and there are some lovely sets out there suitable for her age/slightly older - jelly bean bath sets, gingerbread and chocolate bubble bath etc
Of course you know more what the child will like - this is just my experience from my now 11 yr old daughter. I'd much rather (and she as well) her have a few good quality bits that will last her/work as they should than gifts sets where half the stuff goes in the bin and I get complaints of 'but it doesn't work like it should' lol

What about something like this:

Personally I wouldn't buy strong colour shades for a 10 year old...she has her rebellious teenage years for that:rotfl:
Why not try a french manicure set? She could probably get away with wearing this at school as well as it is very neutral but would make her feel grown up/ sophisticated!
I've seen this for about £4 in Superdrug but there are plenty of shops selling similiar sets.Stopped smoking 20th October 2012
This year I will have something that resembles a garden and not a building site!0 -
depends on your budget
