If you add those extortionate fees to your mortgage, then you will be paying interest on them for the term of your mortgage unfortunately. Seriously, you dont need to pay a massive fee like that, if it was a couple of hundred quid I wouldnt feel so strongly,but £1295 added to loan? AND they keep the commission on a £100k mortgage. quackers.
There are plenty of brokers who will do this for commission only and don't believe the hype about them being commission biased or pushing ancillary products I assure you it doesn't happen (well not in my practice anyway)

They suggested putting this fee on the loan, can pay up front, but think i will shop round abit for IFA
