Sometimes I wonder what happened to the old greats. Carolt, Squatnow, even Brit hardly posts now. It is as if attrition has wiped out many bears.

That's a better analogy than you think it is, an avid Manchester United fan who dares slate Darren Felcher would be shouted down there, it truly is the football equivalent of HPC.

That was the analogy I was trying to make .... but it clearly went over the head of some posters.
Perhaps it's because your posts are so dreary that they bring down the mood of that website?

I've never attempted to post on a Manchester United forum and never would.

Perhaps they dozed off halfway through? :rotfl:

I see that you're back to your old ways RenovationMan.

From the forum rules FAQs ......... An alter ego (AE) is generally someone who's previously been PPR'd (see What's "PPR" under some people's usernames?) and has joined under a new username to cause dispute.

It looks like you're heading for another PPR.

I can't see that they would have a problem with that :) BTW who is he?

However, I do see some merit in having a post like the above here - purely to let those who lurk in forums but don't register and post that they may not be getting the full picture when on the other forums.
I find it best to let people do their own research and draw their own conclusions, rather than protect them from themselves.
    Been away for a while.
  • There is a massive group out there in real life and in the form of internet groups who believe in the existance of little green men and spaceships from other worlds visting our sheep and partaking in some rather odd practices.

Now I can decide to start generalising about the type of people who take comfort in these beliefs and the fact they are usually pot bellied rednecks from the US who are married to their pet greyhound, but I choose to believe they are talking c*** and just let them get on with it, live and let live and all that.

What I find more troubling when it comes to the house price crash debates and from the ONE single UK site that specialises in the subject why so many on a daily basis find the need to attack a belief they claim they know is wrong, why not just get on with your life?

p.s I am one of the members who posted about five times and was banned by the way, I was maybe too Bullish for them:)

There is dissent over there at the moment. Anger is boiling over against Bruce Banner. You dont last long over there once you've accused Bruce Banner of being a nob.

Many people have been waiting and waiting and each hpi index just frustrates them more.

When I think back to how naive and hopeful I was for house price crash back in 2007. So many are priced out, enraged by generational inequality that sees a small selection of lucky haves lording it over others and stripping them of their hard earned money through an accident of chance.

You're the one running AEs, with your many and varied username accounts. Not me.

Sad how you feel you have to do this instead of saying all you want to say with just the one logon. Cowardly really, don't you think?
