HPC Forum

Does anyone else notice that, when you post on HPC's forum, bearish posts are generally approved and then displayed.

However, moderately bullish posts are shot down by people asking to "provide evidence that prices will stabilize or rise in the near future". Then, when you provide a post with such evidence, it isn't approved and noone see's it.

No wonder the forum is so bearish - the bullish posts just aren't displayed.

The above is all in relation to Northern Ireland where prices are currently over 50% down from peak.

The first rule of the forum hpc.co.uk is that you don't talk about the forum hpc.co.uk.

Well, there's definitely an agenda there.

I posted a post with government figures for the average salary in Northern Ireland and the average house price in Northern Ireland. I included figures for the average salary multiple for UK houses over the last 40 years.

The above figures came to the conclusion that Northern Ireland is currently 5.5% below the price that would match up to the long-term trend (not including the bubble period).

Not only was the post not approved for display, but I now get the following message when I try to post:

"Your posting rights have been removed by an administrator."

Asking that question on here would be like me posting on a football forum about Chris Holder signing for Poole Speedway...what the blooming hell has it got to do with us!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I notice exactly the same thing on Manchester United's Red Cafe forum.

All the posts seem to be supporting Manchester United, yet as soon as I try to post a comment against them they refuse to display it.

Not exactly. What you're saying in a nutshell is that:

Speedway Racing is to Football as
House Price Crash is to 'Debate House Prices & the Economy'

That's obviously not the case as one is clearly related whilst the other isn't related AT ALL.

Nope, two completely different sites...to be honest, I couldn't give a poo about what happens on HPC. If I did, I would be there and not here.

Once again the posters on MSE have been mistaken as some sort of sub forum for complaints about HPC.

I think my poll will clearly show that most people prefer drinking to HPC.

Perhaps it's because your posts are so dreary that they bring down the mood of that website?

It's certainly the case on this one. :rotfl:
