Then you just need to phone around and ask different opticians how much they charge for a contact lens check/aftercare. I'd suggest £35 or so is pretty typical though.0 -

Don't be tempted to go just for the cheapest where your eyes are concerned.0 -
I use Tesco opticians for my lenses, I think the charge for a contact lens consultation and 1 year after care is £15. I'm not entirely sure as they didn't charge me last month even though it was a full year since I last saw them.
Their lens prices were competitive too for the lenses I wear (multifocals), not sure how they compete on others.0 -
I was going to say that I use Tescos Opticians for both my glasses and lenses and I pay £15 a year for my 'check' which includes all the eye health stuff too (you know, the dye in the eye etc thing).

Was gonna go for Tesco Opticians, but we don't have one in our huge Tesco Extra or any in our town. Ended up going for Vision Express and paying the £35, they've given me a free trial of some lenses too (yet to arrive) and I asked them like 5 times "are you sure they're free?" (they really are!) so a little bit happier about parting with £35 now I got a little extra!
I know I shouldn't cut corners where health is concerned but it's always a bit of a shock when I don't get it free anymore! (I'm only 21, haven't been for an eye test in about 5 years so was on NHS vouchers before!)0
