@DCFC79: No more bored than you seem to get replying negatively to my posts, posts which I bothered to research put together because I care about people, and don't like seeing ANYONE lured into a burden of debt preyed on by loan sharks. Unfortunately people find themselves in horrible, desperate and vulnerable situations and hence why I think it is important to provide advice like this on suitable forums - if it doesn't apply or interest you then move on and read something else that does!
Tell us directly DCFC79, are you part of Amigo Loans PR team?I seem to remember we have been here before, oh yes we have, only last month you started this thread on amigo loans. Dont you get bored of the same topic.0 -
Surely one thread about Amigo Loans is enough, this is now the second thread you have started, strange behaviour from a newbie... Why clog up the baords with the same information?Debt-Free day 30th September 20140

not strange behaviour considering this company has been hounding me with packs, calls, texts and emails for the past month!! It's incredibly bad value for money loan, if it saves many prospective borrowers repaying over twice the amount they borrow then I think it's worth starting some relevant threads about this....0

and as if this wasn't bad enough I see them when I switch on the TV as well :-(0

No FfF im not part of Amigo Loans PR, dont you think 1 thread was enough though ? If Joe Bloggs searched for Amigo Loans another thread on Amigo Loans is on the first page.
maybe you could ask Martin Lewis for some kind of award for your research into AL.Surely one thread about Amigo Loans is enough, this is now the second thread you have started, strange behaviour from a newbie... Why clog up the baords with the same information?
That was my thoughts exactly Moneymash0 -
OP, have you also started threads to warn other Forum members about smoking, drinking, loose women, bad food, dangerous drivers, loose brickwork, overhanging trees, bad wiring, leaking gas pipes.... need I go on. They're all dangerous things to get involved with, but like Amigo Loans, one warning should be enough.
There is only so much you can do to warn people. Sometimes their stupidity overrides what little common sense they have, in which case you can only sit back and wait for the **** to hit the fan."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
@DCFC79 you responses are so becoming predictably critical and prolific, where Amigo Loans is concerned, I'm having a real hard time not believing much you are part of their PR team....
I though MSE encouraged people to 'be especially nice to Newbie's'? As an experienced member I thought you'd be aware of this?
Considering I'm offering free advice, with no ulterior motive other than warn unwary borrower's and guarantor's about this loan product, I'm finding your behaviour a little strange and as i say...predictable?? Hmmm0 -

I'm not part of Amigo - however, I do believe that people have to take some responsibility for their own decision making.
The company sets out their terms in the contract - if they didn't then the regulator could act if a complaint was made - so if people READ and AGREE the terms then they must accept that the nastier things might happen if they default - that's the reality.
It is you that seems to have some sort of crusade against this company to the point of near fixation - this is making it hard for you to see that the company does not appear to be doing anything illegal - morals do not come into it really - it's about people exercising free will.:hello:0 -

Where have I not been nice to you FfF ? Go report me for being not polite if you like, Ive been polite, not sure how I haven't.
Well its gonna be hard for me to convince you I dont have any affiliation with Amigo Loans. Theres already a thread on it on here thats on page 1 of google so its in full view if anyone searches for Amigo Loans.
Im sure Ive said before that all Amigo Loans are doing is providing a service, I like to believe that people are of an age where they can make their own decisions, if they dont understand anything they can ask a family member/friend to explain it in easier terms.
I like to think people are free to do what they want with they're own money.0 -
Trouble is we all know that people don't read these thing carefully, they're rushed into it and don't give things the proper time and attention they deserve, often not seeing the obvious, the wood-through-the-trees etc. - e.g. "hang about, why don't I just lend them the money myself, get an agreement in writing, and cut out this expensive redundant service?"
That's where the internet and forums like this can be really useful, even if it's repetitive and boring to some, if it helps others avoid making the mistakes of so many, then surely it's a good thing...?
Fixated? I think frustrated and exasperated by all their misleading statements would a better descriptions...that companies like this are can even advertise on TV and declare themselves to be more moral than banks...or 'how things used to be"?0
