Sending gifts to France (& maybe elsewhere) via Amazon - SAVE!

I was about to send a book, wrapped by Amazon, via Amazon UK to France. Baulked at the high postage charge + over £3 gift to wrap.
Decided to try logging into amazon.fr, The same (English language) book there, and free postage! Plus gift wrap is about 30% less.
Might work for other countries' Amazon stores too.
