  • Just be completely honest Aaron, you will probably get a ticking off, don't give any excuses, just tell them it is what it is and what can they do to help you rectify the situation and see what they say.

They will want reassurances that you won't use anymore credit, they will want to know the reasons why you needed to take credit, if your I&E was set correctly and if not, it now needs to be etc and a repayment plan moving forward, it will all depend on if you can afford to repay these extra debts and still continue paying towards your IVA, you may have to tag a couple of extra payments on at the end.

I think we're all agreed that Aaron is in breach of his Ts&C's associated with the IVA. However, life isnt always so clear cut and people do have to eat occassionally even if they ARE paying back money to creditors.

So, other than speaking to Payplan and trying to incorporate it...another other ideas?

Personally, I'd be putting up a parachute account ready to shelter my income from anyone looking to seize it.

The council tax debt is probably the most worrying of them all since this isnt strictly a civil debt. I think the OP needs to speak to the Council directly and quickly to see if there is anything to be done in the short term.

As to his mobile bill...forget it. Ditch the phone, you cant afford it and they'll bar you in a few days when your bill doesnt get paid. My guess is that it will get passed over to a debt collector, but you can deal with them as and when by rolling it into the IVA probably.
