Hi everyone
could anyone advise me on this. although I raised my overdraft limit I am still exceeding it every month eg overdraft £800 and I am now £908 everdrawn and still a week till pay day. I feel a bit sick because I am trying to be very mean this keeps going up partly because of the £100 fee they slap on every month ie yesterday. I really don't have any luxuries such as sky. Everything I own is old. Including me, but I still have 2 teenagers at home (school age) and costing me. I think my credit rating is good as I have always paid everything except this year I have been over my overdraft every month. anyway Soa of sorts.
my wages take home £600-£700
banefits tax credits £127
child benefit £ 130 ?
partner £800
total £1,657
mortgage £190.30
council tax £120
tv licence £11.?

mobiles mine and 2 kids £20 per month
xmas birthdays sale buying and bootsing so got most for this year except kids (maybe that has cuased the overdraft
loan northern rock £53 per month low percent ? 5.6 or somthing like that borrowed £1500 2 and a half years to go
loan HSBC borrowed £1000 I think 18% but finishes in june
£93 per month
IF credit card about £1,o20 to pay lob low but not sure exactly aobut 5%
not using that just paying off £35 per month
hsbc credit card owe £365 run up since transferring to IF last year
virgin credit card £450 same both about 15.9% i think
everything else like school trips food clothes dentist with whatevers left problem is I have been living off the credit card for the last 2 weeks of the last 2 months trying to get my overdraft under £800
also me and OH have completely seperate finances
he pays the mortgage, half the concil tax and the gas and the cost of running his car I pay everything else and there is no way he is going to change that. Also he is a big drinker so if it looks like he has a lot of dixposable income that is what it goes on. My vice is smoking and I spend about £100 per month on fags. Should give up but I am too depressed to do it at the moment. I have been doing all the available overtime but there has not been any this month. I work in a shop so the pay is quite low though I am getting a rise this month might add about £15 per month. Also OH job is very uncertain at the moment it looks as if they might be going bankrupt. I have to get my car MOT tomorrow so that will have to go on the credit card as well. I cant see how you can save to budget for these things when you just dont have enough money coming in. Anyway I was wondering if I can put the overdraft on to one of my credit cards, I know I would pay interest but is that better than £100 - £150 fees. Ps am already old style cook from scratch, darn jumpers etc dont buy brand name trainers etc. Thanks. Do your best.
