I'm sure it is still fantastc, but just note it is a food processor. I think that the much-lusted-after item is the food mixer.0

And the heart of many an MSEer does a massive backflip before realising it's the processor and not the mixer....Come ride with me, through the veins of history...
I'll show you how God falls asleep on the job.

I had to decide a while ago which to buy.., the 1400W Kenwood Titanium Chef (or something similiar) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kenwood-KMC010-Titanium-Brushed-Metal/dp/B006WYVFBQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1354523921&sr=1-1 at £368 or the 300W red Artisan at £409 http://www.amazon.co.uk/KitchenAid-Artisan-KSM150BER-Stand-Mixer/dp/B000094U5H/ref=sr_1_cc_3?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1354524269&sr=1-3-catcorr, when I read the difference in motor power I was astonished. Knowing how much difference a powerful motor can make, and liking how the Kenwood worked (and finding you can get all the attachments the Artisan offered) I went for the Kenwood. And I am very glad I did. It gets used a lot, and I can see how the Artisan would struggle to mix large amounts of bread dough etc that I make.
With the Kenwood, you also get the food processor and blender attachments. Sure, its not as sexy looking, but I would rather have the Kenwood any day (if only Kenwood did a redesign, they'd beat Artisan hands down).
I am so so glad I sacrificed looks for power. I really love red.., but there's no way I'd swop my Kenwood for the Artisan now.
Its a significant purchase, so be careful to consider all factors when choosing which mixer you need.0 -
I have this food processor and it is amazing. (Bit of a Kitchenaid junkie). It has two sizes of bowl and a whole huge box of different attachments.0
