info from another site is this

"I actually work in the hearing aids industry and i'd advise you to give this 'deal' a miss. It's basically a cover campaign put together by a hearing aid manafacturer who trade under various guises to get your records on their system so they can go in for the hard sell. A reputable company, but in this case they are using somewhat misleading stealth tactics to reel you in."

  • I was caught by this so called deal, they send someone out to test your hearing and when that is done they throw in the tempter of approx £200 off the price of a new Digital hearing aid, if you ask about the offer then they say, well we have run out at the moment, and you can only have one if you don't take up the offer of the new aid, mine cost me £1200 (inc Finance charges). The other thing they do is tell you that the NHS don't give out Digital Hearing Aids because they are too expensive and you will definately have to wait for up to 4 years for an analogue one.

I was a mug and signed up (including the finance package) and after several months I had to get them to come here to sort the aid because it didn't appear to be working properly, a different bloke came and we were talking and he finished up telephoning the dept at the hospital and within 10 mins he had got me an appointment with the consultant, and after approx 2 months I had been fitted with 2 hearing aids by the NHS, and guess what.. they WERE DIGITAL AIDS.
So please take heed from me and give this offer a big miss, go to your GP and get reffered to the hospital, isn't waiting bettewr than being conned out of hundreds of pounds...

  • I just phoned for the "free" TV Aplifier, as was told that they are not posted out to anyone. Instead the company send forms for completion to undergo a hearing test in your area, at which time I presume, (having read comments made by other users), that the hard sell will take place to get you to buy their hearing aids at inflated prices.........watch this space.....I will return when the forms arrive
  • Blimey, I can't believe people still fall for this one. It's been going since I was a kid (in various guises)
