Christmas Treasure Hunt?

I always like to do something a bit daft with my other half's presents, like last year I wrapped the main present up, then stuck something to it and wrapped the whole lot again, and kept doing that until they were all wrapped. It drove him mad on Christmas morning trying to open it but it meant that in advance he couldn't poke and prod at present and guess what they were! Not very environmentally friendly I know but it's amazing how much wrapping paper you can get for £1!
This year I thought about doing a treasure hunt around the house, starting with the 'stocking' items, and working up in value until he got to the main one. The problem is I have absoltely no idea where to start with clues!
Any help would be appreciated if you could lend a hand!
TIA!

For our first married Christmas (31 years ago!) my husband did a treasure hunt for me.
I remember going all over the house looking for my presents.
It was a long time ago, but I remember clues being found in my favourite book, a holiday brochure for the holiday we'd booked for the following summer, my favourite childhood teddy bear, in the car, and in a cake tin.
It was great fun and a really happy memory. My suggestion is to pick clues to things that have a lot of significance to him.
These days, I think my husband would have to do clues to my laptop, iPad, Kindle and eBay folder!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Ok, here's some bits and bobs that I have gotten him:
2 packets of Haribo Gold Bears (he LOVES them and only gets them when he goes on holiday but I found them in Aldi at 89p a packet)
a silly pack of stick on moustaches with one for each day of the week (he has just done Movember)
a silly pack of 'Daily Dentures' to have a laugh with the mo's
John Bishop Live dvd (got ripped off in Asda - saw it today in Argos for £7 less!)
Red Dog on dvd (cheapy from Amazon, someone from work was telling him about it)
Penguin dvd - he likes all these nature type things and it was from Poundland
Jar of Rocket Fuel coffee - he used to drink LOADS of Red Bull and doesn't now so it's a wee treat for him (might put it in the cupboard beside the tea and coffee as we won't have time to go in there first thing - something about putting the kettle on and making a cuppa)
Live Lounge 2012 CD
and his main pressie that I'm not putting on here just incase he sees this!
So as you can see I need a fair few clues and silly rhymes!No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
make a list of each present and beside it where you will hide it, then you'll be able to make the clues link to each hiding place.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

For the John Bishop DVD if you have a chess set in the cupboard you could hide it in the box (as Bishop is a chess piece) and the clue could be
For your next present you’ll have to have a look in the place that’s home to a rook,
Go on, go on, before it’s too late, have a check mate.
for the pengiun DVD you could hide it under a packet of penguins in the fridge with
Your next gift I am told, is somewhere very cold,
Think about where you're being sent and p-p-pick up your present
just a few ideas
