Thanks for the tip Betty, once I have used up all the bottles under the sink I will try this.
I have been using the slow cooker for dinner this evening. I know it is meant to be convenient but is it really cheaper? Its been on a very long time.
I went around the house unplugging everything not in use this morning. Then I undid all my good work by putting the tumble dryer on.
I have had two successful no spend days and put any change I found round the home in the sealed pot. I will have to go to the shop later though as we need bread and milk for in the morning.
I think I am going to line the back of the radiators with foil as this is meant to reduce heating costs. Just need enough foil now and I am gonna wait til I go to a supermarket as the price at the local shop is astronomical.🎄PAYDBXMAS21 #11 £11,300/£11300

Morning. Not a good day for me. Despite my best efforts of getting on top of everything, it has kind of all unravelled a bit. As I have just started working after 3 years at uni, it is taking a bit of time to get things paid and sorted. Just thought I was starting to make a difference and had started to pay off a bit towards my debts, when the bank take all the charges for unpaid DD's out and take me overdrawn.
So now I have had to borrow cash ( not from PDL thankfully) til payday just to avoid more charges.
In a way it might be the kick I need to really address the problem. I am doing lots of little things to cut back my spending and it all helps. But realistically, I think I need to work some more hours for a while just to give me a boost.🎄PAYDBXMAS21 #11 £11,300/£11300

Ok, so I have decided to stop my little pity party and made myself get a bit motivated. I have managed so sort the lack of money situation in the short term, and have been able to cover all my outgoings (I hope). I have also been online and found that amazon will give me £33.45 for 4 books I had for uni.
So tomorrow I will send them off and set about finding a few items to list on ebay this weekend (even though I hate doing it).
I havent got round to doing anything round the house re; energy saving yet.
I have applied for a credit card that helps improve your credit score, went with one recommended on here. I am also looking into speaking to bank re; claiming charges back. Not sure where I stand with this but will read up on MSE for guidence.
Day to day I just need to stay motivated and keep finding the little things so I feel that I am still tackling this problem.🎄PAYDBXMAS21 #11 £11,300/£11300
