Totnes Devon Should They Have Sent Costa Coffee Shops Packing?

Totnes Anti Costa Protest looks like it won, but some are saying that not everyone's happy. Wonder what the coffee price differences would have been, if any?

Although I admire Totnes spirit in keeping it local, I also like Costa and think it would of added to the highstreet as the bottom of the highstreet is abit grotty looking. We go there often and would of been great. I know there are local cafes etc but I feel they are more places to go and have lunch rather than just grab a coffee and drink in the car which is what we would of used it for.

Yes we love Costa as well and I must admit we do go in there but only in the big cities! Funnily enough now we've seen that little independent one on the tv in the side street, looking forward to going there next time - i think it is down the lower end of town. Agree bad though how Totnes has gone down in the last few years - dont think the local MP has a business background or understands what local people need. Things are so bad we have joined the LETS bartering scheme for moneysaving!
