Supermarket pricing-what lousy 'offers' have you found?

The pricing of so called offers and extra value packs by supermarkets has been in the press a lot over the last week or so, but what lousy value offers have you seen?
To kick off, this morning in Aldi I compared the price of their bottled Australian red wine with their boxed version. The bottles were £3.29 (shelf label stated £3.29/75cl) which works out at £4.39/litre whilst for the box version the shelf pricing was £4.66/litre. The shelf pricing was hard to compare as you needed to do a small calculation to compare like for like, (one of the complaints mentioned time and time again this week).

My local Sainsbury had 2 conflicting offers yesterday on some of their packs of cooked meat slices. There were about 4 or 5 different varieties of stickered packs included in the 2 for £5 offer.
One of the included varieties had been given a promotional price of £2 from its original price of over £3 per pack. So the consumer now has the choice of one pack for £2 or two packs of that same variety for £5. How will the till figure that conflict out?Never trust a financial institution.
