claiming ppi after 6 years.

Options
I been told that it is still possible to reclaim ppi after 6 years, has anyone any experience of claiming ppi after 6 years, i reclaimed £1,100 from Capitol1 last year using a template letter downloaded from moneysavingexpert last year, i have another claim in with Barclays but they are playing hard to get, even thogh i have copies of my original card statements which clearly show that i paid PPI they say they can't find the policies:( so i have taken my claim to the ombudsman.

I used the template from here and sent it to the bank. I had no account numbers or paperwork. Claim was settled within about 3 months. No hassle

Its up to the companies whether they keep records for more than 6 years.

After that, if they have no records and yu have no records it's brick wall time.

For any claim, you normally have to havea provable reason for a claim for miss sale. You dont get it back, just because you paid it.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
