Matalan clearance stores

Do they have any in the south?

I've heard they can be a bit hit and miss, and a bit of a jumble sale, but I'd like to go and see one.

We're in Southampton, and nearest one we travel to is in Swindon, near the outlet village.
It can be a bit 'hit and miss', though when its a hit we don't pay more than a couple of quid for stuff. Plus with this store near the outlet village its never a wasted journey.

There is one in Maidstone and one in Strood - although there was a fire in that one last yr so I don't know if it is still there now

My son has just started work in one, in Wolverhampton.

Despite having lived in Wolverhampton all my life until 2004, I had no idea it was a clearance store - didn't know they had them!

You can get some real bargains. My son got some trousers, a pullover and a tee-shirt for £12.

Does anyone know the nearest to Manchester? I put the postcode in the storefinder but it just came up with 3 local regular stores.

I was wondering if there is one near manchester too. the store finder doesnmt tell you if they are normal stores or not.
